Mistral AI introduced Mistral Small 4, a new model version. Additionally, Voxtral TTS was released as a frontier, open-weights text-to-speech model that is fast, instantly adaptable, and produces lifelike speech for voice agents. Mistral also introduced Forge, a system for enterprises to build frontier-grade AI models grounded in proprietary knowledge.

Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite is introduced as the fastest and most cost-efficient model in the Gemini 3 series. It is positioned as an optimized variant prioritizing speed and cost efficiency over other capabilities.

The Gemini app now features Lyria 3, described as Google DeepMind's most advanced music generation model. Users can create 30-second music tracks using text or image prompts directly within the Gemini app.

Perplexity AI

Perplexity launched 'Everything is Computer' initiative along with new APIs including a Sandbox API for isolated code execution, an Agent API for managed agentic workflows, and an improved Search API with better extraction and dynamic benchmarks. They also introduced Computer for Enterprise and Premium Sources features.

xAI

xAI announced the Grok Imagine API, offering state-of-the-art video generation across quality, cost, and latency. This represents a new API capability for video generation built on the Grok platform.

Mistral introduced Mistral 3, described as a family of frontier open-source multimodal models. This represents a new generation of models with multimodal capabilities. It is positioned as a significant step forward in both openness and frontier-level performance.

xAI

Grok 4.1 is now available to all users on grok.com, X, and the iOS and Android apps. It is rolling out immediately in Auto mode and can be selected explicitly as 'Grok 4.1' in the model picker. A fast variant, Grok 4.1 Fast, was also introduced along with Agent Tools API for next-generation tool-calling agents.

Grok 4 is described as the most intelligent model in the world, featuring native tool use and real-time search integration. It is available to SuperGrok and Premium+ subscribers as well as through the xAI API. A new SuperGrok Heavy tier was also introduced with access to Grok 4 Heavy, the most powerful version of Grok 4.
